Analysis of Brief 3

This is a brief on the Quests website which is about the great outdoors, this brief is on a Charity Video Production.

Objectives
  • Produce a suitable and promotional video for the charity
  • Establish and in depth knowledge of their clients organization and understanding of brief
  • Produce the video working with strict budget constraints
For this task, the people will be split into teams and will have AV production support so that their production can be of top quality, however they way they act on the given brief depends on each team so each outcome will be different. The teams should be organized with each team member specifically knowing what they're carrying out in order to complete the task, with time management also a factor as their should be know running over time. The video can go viral as its going to be about a charity so lots of different organizations are going to see it accross the internet.

Analysis of Brief 2

This is a commission brief about the Sunday Times iPad Launch and the main objective is to produce an in depth launch video for the iPad.

The Sunday Times worked with a typical Sunday times reader who had to try out the new app, covering all the features and content.

The film has to be shot in digital SLR, has to have a commercial look and feel to it while sticking to the brief. The video could defiantly go viral as it would be posted on the internet on scorchlondon

Analysis of Brief 1

This is a competition brief that mainly wants the competitors to create and orginal advert that's designed to show the young generation about all the effort and creative work that goes into making all the films and TV programmes that they love. This competiton can be worked on either individualty or in groups of four. This advert can be presented in three different formats.
  • A poster campaign
  • A radio campaign
  • A film or animated advert
This a very negotiable brief because it can be completed in a variety of ways as stated above. Each competitors poster is going to be different as well radio shows. The films will be shot in a vairety of locations as and could go viral.

Webisode 3
In the final webisode I want to focus on the students opinions on further education after they have attended college. This webisode will be about how the student’s opinions have changed since they began. As with the first two episodes there will be interviews with the same students so the audience can see what they think now. I would like this webisode to be shot with the students at the college to give it a better feel and with the teachers to be in the same interview as the students for a joint opinion and a conversation between them both about their thoughts now on further education, i.e. whether the students now agree with the tutors. I would also like a flashback in this webisode to the first one to show how their opinions changed over the time.

Proposal for "The Magical Journey Through Further Education" brief

Webisode 1
In the first webisode I want to focus on the student’s perceptions of further education before college. This webisode should primarily introduce the student’s to the audience so they know who they’ll be following through the series. This webisode should feature interviews with the students to get their prior opinion on further education before going to college as it is likely that this opinion will change after they have been. I want this episode to shot while the students are enjoying their regular hobbies e.g. playing football or shopping in the high street as this gives the audience a brief insight on what they are like and what they enjoy doing. This should also includes interviews with the students teachers/tutors who will be with them at college as they will have experience on how students opinions change once at college and the parents especially will want to hear this. This webisode should have catchy, modern and popular background music whilst the students interviews are taking place as this could also be the type of music they like to give the audience further knowledge of them. There should not be music during the teacher’s interviews however as the audience will be more interested in what they have to say at this part and won’t want any other sound distractions. I would like a young male presenter/voiceover who is fairly experienced in this field. He will be asking the questions during the interview and doing a voiceover whilst the camera is showing the students enjoying their hobbies.

Webisode 2
In the second episode I will focus on the student’s opinions of further education during their time at college. This webisode will look at how their opinions may have changed slightly since they joined the college and whether it is good or bad. It will again feature a selection of students being interviewed at the beginning however in this webisode there will be no background music as it is now in a more serious stage. There will also be no comments from the teachers in this episode as the focus of it is to see how the students are getting on. The second part of this webisode will show students working on various assignments depending on which course they are studying. For example the Media students might be in the work of producing a music video so will show them working with camera’s etc, while the Art students may be working in their sketch books. A voiceover will be heard over the top of this second of the webisode. I will use the same voiceover/presenter through the series as the audience won’t want them to keep changing so they can get used to one and not have to worry about a change.
